Where the like history lives
The path is not obvious, and that is the whole difficulty. The section sits in settings rather than on the profile, where people look for it.
- Open your profile and tap the three lines in the top right corner.
- Choose Your activity.
- Then Interactions, and inside it Likes.
Inside is a list of every post you liked, newest first. It goes back to the day you registered: a five-year-old account holds five years of it.
What you can do with it
- Filter by date. Handy when you need to recall a specific period.
- Filter by author. Shows whose posts you have been liking.
- Unlike in batches. Up to 100 at a time, then one tap.
- Open the post itself. You can jump to the original entry, if it still exists.
What the section does not contain
It shows your own actions only. Worth knowing up front, because half the questions about likes are really about other people’s.
- Other people’s likes. Instagram removed that in 2019 and never brought it back. Covered in how to see someone else’s likes.
- Who likes you. Those appear on each post separately; the section gives no overall picture.
- Deleted posts. When an entry is deleted, it leaves your history along with your like.
- Story reactions. Those never land here; they live a day and vanish.
Why look at your own likes at all
There are usually three reasons, and all of them are mundane.
Finding a lost post
You saw a recipe or a product, tapped the heart, and later could not find it again. The history remembers everything, and the date filter narrows the search to a single evening.
Clearing out old ones
Likes from years ago sometimes surface at the worst moment: the post owner sees them in their notifications if they scroll far enough. Batch removal solves that in a few passes.
Seeing where attention goes
The author filter shows whose posts you like most often. The result can be surprising: accounts you never thought about turn up at the top.
The section is missing on desktop
The web version of Instagram does far less than the app, and like history is among the missing parts. Open the site on a computer and you will find settings, notifications and messages, but no Your activity section.
There is no workaround either: this is not a hidden button but an absent part of the interface. Viewing the history means using a phone.
What to do without a phone at hand
The data download remains. Settings let you request a copy of your information, and the archive includes the list of likes. It takes a few days to prepare and arrives as a file that is awkward to read, but it works from anywhere.
For a one-off task like finding a post you liked in March that is overkill. For a full clean-up or moving data elsewhere it works.
The other direction: who interacts with you
Like history answers “whose posts do I like”. The reverse question, “who likes mine”, has no section of its own. Those likes sit on each post separately, and building a picture means adding them up by hand.

How do I see my own likes on Instagram?

How long is like history kept?
Since the account was created. Instagram does not prune it, so older accounts end up with a very long list.
Can I remove all likes at once?
Not in a single tap, but you can select up to a hundred at a time. A few passes clears the list completely.
Does it show other people’s likes?
No. The section covers your own actions only. Instagram removed the ability to see other people’s likes in 2019.
Will the author know I removed a like?
No notification is sent. The entry simply disappears from their notifications.
