Source and access
The customer enters the username or URL of a public profile. Sled checks information available from outside without receiving the customer’s Instagram login, password, or session. A private or unavailable profile is rejected before payment when the selected output cannot be produced.
Rows are preserved in the order returned by the source at the observation time. We report that observable order but do not turn it into an exact calendar date: Instagram does not expose the date of an individual follow in a public list, and interface behaviour may change or be personalized.
How each type of result is produced
Lists and mutual follows
Available following and follower lists are collected. A mutual-follow result compares the two sets, separating matches from rows present in only one list.
Changes over time
Monitoring compares discrete snapshots. A new row is recorded as added between checks; a missing row is recorded as gone between checks. This is an observation interval, not an exact minute or proof of why the change happened.
Interactions with an account
The ranking uses public likes and comments on up to 30 recent posts when the source returns them. Likes and comments are countable public actions. Direct messages and private interactions are not included.
Audience signals and sampling
The basic review groups observable fields such as a missing name or image and repeated handle patterns. The deep review takes a random sample of up to 200 followers and inspects available profiles individually. Neither a signal nor a sample proves that a person is a bot.
Visibility and stories
A visibility check records whether a specific public post was found in a selected hashtag feed at the observation time. It does not diagnose a “shadowban.” Story viewing is limited to active photos and videos from a public profile that remain available to the source at request time.
Quality controls
- Check profile and data-type availability before payment.
- Record report time or the interval between snapshots.
- Keep source rows alongside computed output when the product format allows it.
- State list or sample size and identify unavailable portions.
- Delete the result after the period stated on the product page and in the Terms.
This methodology describes the processing method. It cannot guarantee that an external platform remains unchanged. If Instagram alters access to or the structure of public data, Sled revises the output and its stated limits.
