How to track someone’s new follows and unfollows

Every day monitoring pulls the public profile’s full following list and compares it with the previous snapshot. Every account they followed since the last check goes into the email, even when the total following count has not moved, and so does every account they unfollowed. An unfollow is reported once a second, independent check confirms it, so a glitch in Instagram’s list does not turn into a false unfollow. A deleted or deactivated account does not count as an unfollow: the person did not unfollow it.

What to know about monitoring

01How do I see someone’s latest follows?

Monitoring answers it every day: it compares the public profile’s full following list with the previous check and sends who the person followed and who they unfollowed. The count starts at the first check: earlier follows cannot be reconstructed.

02Will I see who they unfollowed?

Yes. The name arrives by email and stays in the history with the date of the check that noticed it. We report it once a second, independent check confirms it, so a glitch in Instagram’s list does not become a false unfollow, which is why it usually arrives with the next check. If the account was deleted or deactivated, we do not count it as an unfollow.

03Will you catch a new follow if the total stays the same?

Yes. The full following list is compared every day, not just the count, so a new follow shows up even if the person unfollowed someone else that day, and we report that unfollow too.

04Does it reveal the exact follow date?

No. It places a change between two checks.

05Will the person know?

No. The service does not interact with the account.

06Is a password required?

No. It only works with public profiles.

07Will I be charged automatically again?

No. Monitoring ends after 30 days and can be renewed manually.

What people mean by an Instagram spy tool

The phrase covers several different things at once, and half of them do not exist. Here they are in order, so no money goes to waste.

  • Reading someone’s messages. Impossible: messages are not public and nobody outside has access.
  • Seeing a private profile. Impossible: private data is unavailable, and bypassing that would be hacking.
  • Finding who viewed your page. Impossible: the platform keeps no such statistic at all.
