What is picking up speed on your topic right now
The report measures speed: how fast posts on your topic gain views and how fresh the results are. Instead of a generic list of what is trending, you get live numbers from your own niche, and sounds with the platform’s trending marker come in a separate report. Velocity is counted in views per hour and the reels are split by age: fresh against fresh, week-old against week-old. That is how you see what is picking up speed right now.

What to know about trends
01How do I tell which reels are trending on my topic?
By speed, not by a general list: the report counts how many views per hour fresh reels on your phrase are gaining, and splits them by age. A reel that gained more in a day than its neighbours did in a week is the trending one on your topic.
02Is this the Instagram trend list?
Better: these are your topic’s trends. The report shows what is picking up speed in your niche: view velocity and freshness of the results, plus the flow on its tag for a one-word topic.
03What do I do with a trend from the report?
Film your own reel on the same topic while the wave is running. The fastest reels in the report show which angle of the topic viewers are watching now, and the tags rising on fresh posts suggest which words to go out with.

How to read the speed
Three signals that show in the report at once.
- A fresh reel outruns its week-old neighbours. That is your topic’s trend — open it from the link and see what is picking up speed right now.
- Plenty of fresh posts in the results. The topic is alive: the platform readily shows new posts, and a new reel has room to land.
- Rising tags. Fresh posts carry them while the tag’s top does not yet — that is the next wave.
Why velocity beats raw views
A reel with a million views over a year and a reel with ten thousand in a day are different stories, yet a list sorted by views always puts the first one on top. Velocity places them side by side honestly.
That is also why the report is split by age: fresh reels are compared with fresh ones, week-old with week-old.
