The easiest way to remember: only stories, live broadcasts and read messages are visible by name. Profile visits and post views are visible to nobody, ever.
Profiles can be viewed freely
Instagram has no “who viewed your profile” list. It is not hidden in settings, not sold as a feature, not given to business accounts. It simply does not exist, and the platform has never pretended otherwise.
So opening someone’s page, scrolling their posts and checking their following and followers is entirely safe. The owner learns nothing.
Then where do “profile viewer” apps come from
